Weather

It is always so interesting to find out how things work. How does a meteorologist predict the weather? What does the recording studio look like? Is it a fun job/something I would be interested in when I grow up? Drew thought this would be a great profession, because he would then have the specifics on tornadoes - where, when, etc. Of course, he did not realize that the meteorologist is the last man to run for the basement, since it is his responsibility to go "On Air" with this information for the protection of others. They make a great team for up-to-date news and weather. Who ever knew that standing in front of a "green screen" with a piece of green fabric works like the Harry Potter invisibility cloak? How cool is that - the bodiless weathermen!!!

Hi Rachel. These are great pictures. Maria and I are just looking at the blog now. That looks like so much fun. I would love to be a weather-girl too!

Did you all go to the news station? Looks like so much fun! We went to the one in Louisville when we lived over that way. We got to see a morning news show being broadcast live. Fun memories!

I tried posting here before; apparently it didn't work.
This sounds like a very fun AND educational field trip. Do you generally organize and go with just your kids or do you have any kind of homeschool group that goes on outings?
