Near the end of September, Patrick and I took the opportunity to sneak away for a few days ALONE, while M&M stayed with the 4 boys (Thank you:)
I was so excited that we were finally able to visit Ashville, NC. We stayed in a beautiful condo, slept in and then went out for coffee, took our time eating dinner and dessert at 2 unique local restaurants, and toured Biltmore Estates.

If you ever have a chance to visit Biltmore, be sure to book the Rooftop tour. It was well-worth the few extra dollars.
Looking down on the roof to the winter gardens.
Look closely at the detail, and you will still be able to see the gold etching.

We love to ride horses, and the last time we had a chance to do this together was on our honeymoon 12 years ago.

Looks like a wonderful time. I've always wanted to do some of the additional tours at Biltmore. How was the wine & chocolate tour? We aren't much for wine but the mention of chocolate...yumm!
Who are M&M?
Sounds FUN!! We went to Asheville last month and thoroughly enjoyed our little getaway.
We almost went to the Biltmore (for the second time) b/c we enjoyed it so much previously. How were your tours?
(That gargoyle pic is crazy!)
Looks like so much fun! Love the matching outfits of your and patrick!
LOL, matching outfits - just kind of ended up that way (not planned).
M&M are Maria and Michael - Patrick's parents. The 3rd comment on this page is written by the very one who came up with it - short and sweet!
