A Very Girly Party
Her Papa bought her the best balloon he could find.
So sweet
She picked the cake + we picked the decorations = a very pleased, excited little girl.
The party crew
Cousins
Oh, those eyes...
I caught her expression/reaction right when she realized what she was opening... a present she REALLY wanted.
Grandma helping with the accessories.
Asher was quite impressed too.
What a happy 7 year old!

Very Interesting
This immediately caught my eye... glad it is not happening quite yet.
Learning to change the brakes with Granddaddy.
Afternoon Outing
Mom was working, her car was available, and I had a few errands to run. As we passed through town, the boys noticed that the fire dept. seemed to be hosting an event. So we pulled in, and I jumped out to ask if it was private or public. Turns out it was Annual Fire Prevention Day!
Spraying the fire hose...
to knock over some cones.
A spin with Sparky
Inflatables :)
Next, we went to the YMCA for a short walk on their new trail around the pond (great exercise for the boys and a chance for me to photograph the Killdeer).
Dashing to see the train!
The Killdeer proved to be quite skittish, but the boys were more than willing to attempt to encourage the birds in my direction. Pretty happy with these 3 photos.
Altanta Zoo - Part 2
Asher and Luke
They were both fans of currying the goats.
King Vulture
Practicing the long jump
A much safer see-saw - they loved it!
♥♥♥
Thank you, Granddaddy and Grandma.
... just because they are so pretty.
Atlanta Zoo - Part 1
We haven't done "the zoo" in a long time, too long.
We went plenty of times when the older guys were young; but as they matured, they became interested in other things. Having boys so spread out in age (17 down to 3), does create an interesting dynamic in our household, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I just want to make sure that the little ones are not "short-changed"; and honestly, I love having little boys to take on these type of outings once again!
It's gonna be a GREAT day!
I know this pic and the next one are rather redundant, but I LOVE how my boys love each other.
Best buddies
First animal sighting of the day - flamingos.
I am pretty sure this was the highlight of the day for Luke (but remember, he is NOT a birder;).
Budgies
Even before arriving at the zoo, I decided that I would NOT get caught up in taking pictures of every.single. animal... haven't we seen them all... but that I would keep my eye out for anything out of the ordinary.
This cub kept pestering her Momma who just wanted to rest...
Salad - yum!
I tried over and over to catch both of these "hatchlings" looking at me...
Two of our favorite birds
Just monkeying around
So sweet.
My boys LOVE back rubs too.
"Lukie"
What an awesome big brother!
We had fun trying to find everything in the reptile house.
Not a bad ride!
