Friends Stop By
Asher was quite spoiled with all of the extra attention!
These guys covered a lot of territory in a few short days: basketball, hiking, movies, games, guitar...
The Moms snuck out a couple of times for girl time and Brusters!
Yummy!!! Homemade waffle cones and sorbet!
♥
The guys.

Aidan's First Play...
... and he rocked it!!!
Wish the focus had been better, but I just love their attitudes.
He still loves to play with action figures, especially super-sized ones ☺
What are they planning?
Mock battle
Aidan's semi-solo.
When he sang the chorus with his friend, I finally realized that her voice could not reach the high F. Yes, my boy still has a high voice.
♥♥♥
This was a tricky song to nail.
"Back to the 80's" prom
His friend gave him flowers, as did quite a few other people.

Surprises in April
Big, beautiful snowflakes on my drive home.
Waking up to April snow
Showing up at a friend's house to this... oh my.
Joy in the Little Things
I really am NOT a girly girl. I don't like to shop. I don't like change or new things. Possessions are really not that important to me, but here are a few new(ish) things that have brought me joy.
. the free goodies from hosting a Norwex party.
It took me awhile to start using them, and I have been pleasantly surprised with just how well they work and how much I enjoy cleaning with them. With just water, an "envirocloth", and a "window cloth", my bedroom windows are so clean that the boys have checked more than once to make sure whether they are opened or closed.
. a gift from my parents
They bought this for me when they were here the beginning of February. It has been the entire time and still is in full bloom!!!
. a "gift" from Patrick (well, he did agree to buy it and fetch it)
I found it used on a local board for $120. It is solid wood and quite plain, just the way I like it. After I finish selling all of the baby stuff I have accumulated over the last 19 years, I will move the piano and then move this into the piano's present spot. I can't wait to unpack my china for the very first time since we were married.

Ellipses and Spheres
This year we used hard-boil eggs and the colors were vibrant!!
The dipped and dipped again, sometimes using the same color and other times a mixture of colors.
Drying
They loved choosing the expression/hair combos!
Only after they finished did we realize that Luke has chosen colors with the longest wavelength...
and Asher chose color with the shortest wavelength.
One "girly" egg.
Don't you dare ask what is going on with the diamond pattern... it went horribly wrong.
After egg decorating, Luke made his very first batch of Chocolate Chip cookies with minor assistance.

Say What?
Lucky Charms are loved over here but NOT the food dye. I haven't seen the St. Patrick's Day special since Sean was a little boy. We bought quite a few boxes. YUM!
Oooops!
I left it sitting on a burner that was ON. I would have expected a split straight across or even multiple pieces but not this interesting curve. Beauty can always be found, but one must be willing to see it even in the unexpected and broken.

Our Resident 8 Yr. Old
front view......................... rearview
While I wasn't feeling well, Luke came up with a great idea to build a model of the digestive system on Mindcraft. The front view is the mouth and the rearview is the esophagus (pink part), stomach (red part), large and small intestines (light/dark gray part near the bottom).
This boy LOVES to build - legos, duplos, magnetix...
Field tripping with mommy
After the show, we stopped by Starbuck's and Gap for a little Luke spoiling.
