Adventures in Painting

I think he got carried away. Painting on paper is interesting for a little while, but painting your hands is, oh, so much more fun!

Silly boy!
Nowadays, he tells me that he wants to be Hulk when he grows up.
He will be "bad", but nice to Mommy!

Distraction

It can be a good thing.
I love going on bird walks with Aidan. We are focused on motion and sound in search of a bird, which in turn forces us to scrutinize our surroundings. It is not always a feathered friend that catches our eye.

Outside My Window

A sweet visitor.
Ruby-throated Hummingbird (male)

My Little Man

Sticky footprints.
Whose could they be?

I think this cucumber devouring boy might be the guilty party.

Another Bird Walk

I just can't remember where... I need Aidan's help...
None of the bird pics made the cut, but the scenery was amazing.

The tide is heading out.

Our friend made these AMAZING ginger cookies... impossible to eat just one.

We walked a little ways along the beach, but spotted only a few jellyfish.

Wild rose

Clematis

Nonspecific

The aftermath... our friends depart and Luke crashes.
It is rather cute to see his hand sticking up in the air behind his head... kind of an odd way to hold one's hand... unless you are a "finger sucker".

Tis' Better to Have Loved And Lost...

than to have never loved at all.

A bunch of sad, tired kids who almost pulled off an all-nighter.

What a special group of kids

Lawrencetown Beach

You arrive at the beach; off in the distance barely visible in the fog, you spot the lifeguard... bundled up in a parka and winter hat...

Embracing the incoming wave

Body boarding and having a grand time

Wading in the foam

Attempting to remain upright in the turbulent sea

"Surfing"

The twelve year olds sorting through their treasure trove

Avoiding the icy waters, while attempting to ward off the chill with a cup of hot coffee.
