Nova Scotia Wild Blueberries

'Tis the season!
Our property is absolutely covered with these sweet tasting little morsels -
one could pick for hours (make that days) and barely make a dent.

Yummy!!!!

My 3 little blueberry pickers... or is that "eaters" ;)

Not bad for an hours worth of fun (Aidan and I)... approximately 8-10 cups!
Just enough for Blueberry Cake and Blueberry Grunt (aka Slump, Bang Belly or Fungy - this dessert officially has the weirdest names;)

My Baby Sister - Peggys Cove

Just in time to watch the sun set!

Peggys Cove Lighthouse -
my sister, Luke, Aidan, Drew, and Sean

Mar & Rachel

We were attempting to form "N" and "S"..
you know for Nova Scotia!!!
Only later did we realize we formed the N sort of backwards.
Who cares?
We were having so much fun goofing off together!

A round of hide n' seek.
We were expecting company back home and the sun was behind the clouds, so we left!

Almost home, we looked to the left and the sun popped out of the clouds!
We pulled over and took a few pics!
We ducked to avoid blocking the sun...
a certain young man (ahem) failed to inform us that it was not necessary - LOL!!!

Sure love this girl!

My Baby Sister - Coastal Hiking

Overcast, WINDY, and a bit chilly - perfect day for a hike.

♥ Sisters ♥

The love of my life!

You can see Peggys Cove lighthouse just to the left of Patrick's shoulder.

Exhilarating!

Stunning view from the top.

Finally, the sun peaked out for a few minutes!

My Baby Sister - "What About Bob?"

It was super busy when we arrived; but once things had calmed down a bit, I asked if my sister could pose with a LIVE lobster for a pic!

Introducing "Bob"!

All 13+ lbs of him... not what we were expecting ;)

Hard to believe he is in his mid-30's - quite a catch!

We were very careful to insure that Bob did NOT know that 3 of his friends were invited to lunch - shhhhh!

Meet and greet -
a few more of Bob's most colorful friends!

My Baby Sister - Downtown Halifax

I see these quite often and have always wanted to go on one...
after all, who wouldn't want to ride in a vehicle that can travel safely on both land and water?
Better yet, the opportunity to enjoy it with a special sister!

My Baby Sister - Lawrencetown Beach 2/2

After warming up a bit, we set off to explore a new section of the beach.

The big boys helping the little boys negotiate the tide pools to reach the sandbar.

Sitting on the quickly disappearing sandbar.

♥ Proof that Mar and I were there ♥

Asher loved running in and out of the tide pools, but he needed some assistance as there was quite a sudden drop off in this area.

Happy boy :)

Splashing!!!

After accidentally tripping, he decided it was quite funny and kept flopping on his belly with a loud "ooooomph"

My almost fearless water baby!

I love seeing my 2 oldest having fun together.

The current was super strong, and I admit to being nervous. Thankfully, only the 2 oldest boys attempted it and made it back safely.
Never again!!!

Warming up one last time before heading home!

Such a FUN, memorable day!
